Nation Rebuilding: Emergency Home Repair and Day Labor Program
Beginning in the summer of 2018, Sacred Healing Circle was asked to begin helping with the devastating natural disasters that were effecting the Lakota People on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Because of the amount of need (home repairs, plumbing, septic, windows, doors, etc), and the amount of support coming in from the public, we have developed our newest program "Nation Rebuilding: Emergency Home Repair and Day Labor Program".
Each effort ranges from large to small-scale and has been made possible with the help of local community members, volunteers, tribal government and council members, as well Tribal emergency services departments.
At the request of the Oglala community and surrounding communities on Pine Ridge Reservation, we have extended our emergency home repair and day labor program so that it is year-round.
